Do you ever feel like somewhere between falling in love, getting married, raising a family, developing a career, taking care of parents, and trying to meet everyone's expectations of the superwoman you've become, that you lost something? Do you ever feel like you've put aside your own dreams, aspirations, hobbies, and sense of adventure for the sake of practicality? Do you long to sit quietly and relax without hearing your name called? It's time to reclaim yourself, take a break, and turn your focus and energy to yourself! Calling All Superwomen?

Do you ever feel like somewhere between falling in love, getting married, raising a family, developing a career, taking care of parents, and trying to meet everyone's expectations of the superwoman you've become, that you lost something?

Do you ever feel like you've put aside your own dreams, aspirations, hobbies, and sense of adventure for the sake of practicality? Do you long to sit quietly and relax without hearing your name called?

You are not alone - welcome to the club for Moms and other Weary Women!

Ah, but don't despair...there something new happening right here in the Susquehanna Valley purposely for women just like you! It's time to reclaim yourself, take a break, and turn your focus and energy to yourself for one little weekend getaway.

It's time for SUMMER CAMP for Moms and other weary women at Camp Ladybug for Women.

Camp Ladybug will be held on the picturesque grounds at Central Oak Heights in Kelly Township, Union County. Follow the meandering path to simple little cabins nestled in the woods to a place where time has not blemished what is natural, what is good. Towering trees sway in the breeze beckoning you to look skyward. Stand there for just a moment, relax... and take in a really deep breath. You feel better already don't you? Now, exhale and get ready for a great time at camp.

The Question of the Day... What are the Bathrooms like?

Okay ladies, this question has come up several times in the last couple of days, so I thought I should reassure you ~

The bathhouse is located right next to the sleeping cabins. It contains 6 sinks with hot and cold running water. The showers are fully tiled and the facilities are fully equipped.

The Reiki Healing Priciples

Just for today,

I release all worry.

Just for today,

I release all anger.

I earn my living with integrity.

I honor every living thing.

I show gratitude for all my many blessings.

What is Reiki?

History - Reiki means Universal Life Force Energy. It is a healing method which was rediscovered in the late 1800's by a Japanese Christian Minister named Mikao Usui. It was brought to the USA in the 1930's by a Japanese American woman named Hawayo Takata. Reiki is now practiced and taught in every country in the world.

The Reiki Practitioner ~

Is someone who acts like a conduit or funnel through which Universal energy ( Reiki) flows. Wehn the practitioner places his or her hands on your body, he or she is passive and does not control how much energy your body receives, where it goes or how it is used. Your body, in its infinite wisdom, will take whatever amount of energy it needs - to wherever you need it most - for your Highest Good.

A Reiki Treatment ~

* is deeply relaxing and comforting
* catalyzes the body's natural ability to heal
* stimulates the immune system
* has continuing effects for hours and even days after the treatment
* REDUCES STRESS, PAIN AND INFLAMMATION
* can be used on animals and plants in addition to people
* in non manipulative, non - invasive and non - intrusive
* supports all other forms of healing including medical treatment, by bringing your body to a place of balance where healing can occur
*supports your body in releasing physical symptoms
can reduce/relieve pain, especially chronic pain, by bringing your body to balance
*reduces frequency and /or severity of opportunistic diseases that ofter occur in immune compromised conditions

During a Reiki Treatment ~

*you lie on a table fully clothed and covered with a sheet or blanket
*the practitioner's hands are placed in a specific sequence of positions on your head, chest and back. They rest gently in each position for approximately 5 minutes.

*The entire treatment takes about 1 1/2 hours.
*diagnosis is unnecessary, so there is no need for you to share the details of your medical condition
*Conversation is unnecessary and whatever you choose to say will be held in total confidence
*please let the practitioner know if you feel uncomfortable for any reason ( too hot, too cold etc.) - at any time. This treatment is for you. Your comfort and relaxation are first and foremost
*RELAX AND ENJOY - there is nothing that you need to do, think about or focus on.
